2) Course Offered: B. DIT Degree

Duration: Three Years,

B.DIT - a graduate degree with focus on the latest in IT designed to ensure a successful career - a three-year distance education program with modules and latest software technologies to help the graduate meet industry's demands at his/her doorstep.

A pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination

Application Form & Prospectus:
Application form and prospectus were to be obtained from the Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar - 608 002 on requisition along with a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Director, D.D.E., Annamalai University on any bank at Annamalainagar/Chidamparam, mentioning clearly the name of the course and a self -addressed cover of size 27 cm x 21 cm. Cheques, Postal Orders and Money Orders are not accepted.

Application forms could also be had in person on cash payment from the Director of Distance Education and the following Study Centre and Information Centres of the Directorate and from Aptech Computer Education Centres in Tamil Nadu.

Those who want to get applications by post should apply to the directorate only and not to the Study Centres. All the Study Centres and Information Centres except that at Annamalainagar will remain open on all days except Tuesdays, Second Mondays and all other public holidays.

Provisional Admission to the courses were confirmed only on the applicant passing the Entrance Test after undergoing the preparatory (orientation) course.
All the Study Centers and Information Centers except that at Annamali Nagar remained closed on all Tuesdays, Second Mondays and other Public Holidays.

Spot Selection:
Spot selection for admission to the preparatory course was made through all the study centers for all the courses from 18.05.2000. Those who passed the Entrance test during 1997-98, 1998-99 and 1999-2000 but could not join the courses were eligible for admission without undergoing the Entrance Test this year.

4) The minimum qualification for admission to B.E degree course has been reduced as follows with effect from the academic year 2002.
The community and the basic qualification is H.SE(Acad) /H.SC (vocation ) /diploma holder
OC 60% average in the related subject
BC 55% average in the related subject
MBC/DNC 50%average in the subject
SC/ST 50% average in the related subject
The student who are appeared for the entrance examinations conducted by the annamalai university in May can apply for admission to BE degree course in July.
