Madurai Kamraj University Directorate of Distance Education
Madurai Kamaraj University is a Statutory University, established in 1966 by Govt. of Tamilnadu. It is recognized and funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is a member of Association of Indian Universities. It has been reaccredited by NAAC with grade A. Also, the Directorate of Distance Education has been Recognized by Distance Education Council ( DEC ) New Delhi.
The University offers courses at undergraduate, post graduate, diploma, pg diploma, certificate, and pre degre levels. Spot admission is available at the office of the Director and at all the 34 Admission Centers in Tamilnadu.
The University DDE has admission centres at Tamil Nadu whereas the study centers are located in India and overseas. The University facilitates Training Centers in India and aboard.
Admissions are made twice a year. Practical Training is imparted at Professional Institutions for Computer Courses, M.Sc., (Phy & Chem) and Tourism and Hospitality. The University conducts face to face teaching for 56 hours / Year / Student at 13 centers in Tamilnadu.
The university offers various degrees of certification, Under Graduate, Post Graduate, PG Diploma, Diploma in various fields like Arts, Science, Business Administration, Library management, Computer applications, Education, Commerce etc.
The procedure is online and the application fees is Rs. 150 for Indian states and $10 for overseas students. Submission of form along with payment has to be done online.
