Sikkim Manipal University Directorate of Distance Education (SMU DDE), Gangtok is also  popular as Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medicine and Technological Sciences Directorate of Distance Education. It was established in 1995. The University offers quality education to the students from North and North Eastern parts of India.

 

All programs offered by SMU-DE are recognized by the Distance Education Council . SMU-DE is a member of Association of Indian University (AIU). The University is also recognized by the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development and by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
