GGSIPU CET Overview
Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted by Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). The entrance examination is held for the purpose of admission into different engineering, technological and scientific disciplines at bachelors’ degree level programmes leading to Bachelor of technology (B.Tech.). Admission to 6 years dual degree programme leading to Master of Technology (M.Tech.) and Lateral Entry to Engg. Diploma holders in different B.Tech. programmes is also offered through Common Entrance Test (CET).
The University also offers Master of Technology (M.Tech.) full time programme of 2 years duration and M.Tech.weekend programme of 3 years duration. The admission to 2 year M.Tech. programme is offered through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score. However, admission to M. Tech. – Information Technology weekend programme is offered on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination and experience of the candidate.
Eligibility
Educational Qualification For B.Tech. And M.Tech. Dual Degree Courses
A candidate must have passed in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately.
Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core or elective) in the qualifying examination.
For B.Tech. / M.Tech. (Dual Degree) Biotechnology Programs
A candidate must have passed in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately.
