Footprints 2009 - Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication (SIMC)

Introduced in the year 2000, it comprises a series of Media Seminars spanning across the country and even abroad. It began as an effort to provide a direct access platform to the young media aspirants from different walks of life through interaction with industry experts’. Nine years since it has come a long way. It has become a valuable knowledge sharing platform that builds up thought leadership through thought-provoking discussions on media-based issues.

The event is much more than the quintessential media seminar. Initiatives like Young Communicator awards and NGO exhibition are an integral part of the event. Young Communicator award felicitates young (below 35), talented and passionate achievers from the Media Industry and the NGO exhibition showcases developmental work from across the country.

Footprints 2009 spans 23 Indian cities and Dubai. Stalwarts from the Media industry would be addressing an audience ranging from 600 to 1000 in every city. Every city will have experts addressing thousands of aspiring media professionals in combination with a series of activities organized around the theme.

Every year Footprints takes up a cause. This year the central theme for the event across India deals with the Green Battle-the use of communication for environment purposes.
