CET Karnataka 2017 Exam Dates

The KEA conducts the Karnataka CET every year to determine the merit of the Karnataka candidates and the children of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants for admissions to the first year or first semester of full time courses in ayurveda, homoeopathy, unani, naturopathy & yoga, engineering, technology courses (B.E./ B.Tech) and architecture courses (B.Arch), in government or University or private aided or private un-aided professional colleges in Karnataka.

Following are the exam dates for the Karnataka CET 2017:

KANNADA LANGUAGE TEST: The Kannada language test (50 marks)will be conducted by the KEA on 4 May, 2017 (11.30 am to 12.30 pm.) This test has to be taken by the candidates claiming eligibility for government seats under Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses and whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava to prove their ability to speak, read and write Kannada. The test will be conducted by KEA only in the Bangalore centre. Candidates should produce the relevant photocopy of the original documents of the parents in support of their claim such as marks cards, study certificates, etc., along with the CET admission ticket on the day of Kannada Language Test.

All Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates should obtain at least 12 out of 50 marks in this test in order to be considered for assignment of ranks and to become eligible for allotment of seats in CET-2017. The Kannada Language Test's difficulty level will be of 4th standard.

However, the Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates who have studied ten full academic years in Kannada medium from 1st standard to 10th standard in places outside the state of Karnataka need not appear for Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA.
