Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIMI) - Introduction

Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM -I) was established in 1996 and is the sixth in the prestigious IIM family of management schools. The institute was chosen to be set up in Indore to give an impetus to management education in central India and has ever since been acting as the pioneer in the field of management. Spread over 193 acre, the Institute is situated atop a scenic hillock provides an ideal backdrop for some of the brightest minds in the country to work their best to become the best they can be.

The IIM-I provides best faculty and infrastructure to students to groom as a blossomed entrepreneur. Students of IIM-Indore have started social initiatives to address the needs of people residing around the IIM-I. A group of students from IIM-I even addressed nearby villagers in a campaign on the benefits of cooking gas.

Programs
Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is a two-year full time residential flagship programme offered by the Indian Institute of Management, Indore has been designed for graduates. Students of the PGP are awarded “Post Graduate Diploma in Management” by the IIM-I.

One year full time Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) has especially been designed by IIM-Indore to enhance skills, knowledge, capabilities and perceptions essential for senior management positions in corporate world.

A six month Certificate course in Business Management for Defence Officers is offered by the IIM-I. Fellow programme in management is also offered by IIM-I. The IIM-Indore has also started Management Development Programme (MDP) from 2000-2001.

The Indian Institute of Management, Indore has established link with numerous universities and B-Schools across the world for students exchange programme.

Admission
Admission to the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) by IIM-I is offered on the basis of percentile obtained by students in Common Admission Test (CAT), conducted by IIM, followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Foreign or international applicants seeking admission to PGP need to appear for Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). The GMAT scores should not be older than two calendar years at the time of applying for admission.

Events
Indian Institute of Management, Indore conducts various events conducted annually at the campus. IRIS is considered as one of the best B-School festival in the country. IRIS host events in the areas of finance, banking, marketing, strategy and operation. UtsAha is another event conducted by IIM-I, has been conceptualized to bridge the gap between a marketer's plans and the consumer's mind to provide solutions to marketers across different industries. This event is organized by IIM-I annually in mid August.
