IIT Indore

Indian Institute of Technology Indore known as IIT Indore is located in Madhya Pradesh. The institution has started functioning from 2009-10 in a temporary campus at Institute of Engineering and Technology of Devi Ahilyabai University under mentorship of IIT Bombay. The institute campus will be spread over 510 acre of land. IIT Indore will shift to its permanent campus in 2010.

Programs:
Undergraduate courses in engineering, traditionally a 4 year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) will be conducted in the following streams:
•    Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering
•    Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering
•    Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering

Admission to IIT Indore is conducted through JEE. It will take 40 students each in three disciplines. In addition to these, three Science Departments (Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics) and the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences will function from the beginning.

A ‘Cell for IIT Indore’ is set up in IIT Bombay, consisting of a Convener and several  senior Faculty of IIT Bombay as Members. Professor A.N. Chandorkar, Professor of Electrical Engineering is presently the Convener of this Cell.
