The Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) is increasingly becoming popular in India with a lot of MBA colleges using GMAT scores for admission to their management courses. In fact, in quite a few B-schools in India (more than 100), GMAT has replaced previously popular entrance exams like MAT, CMAT etc.

It is only IIM Ahmedabad's Post-Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGPX) that accepts GMAT scores for admissions. The other 2 year programs like PGP & PGP-FABM accept only CAT scores for Indian applicants. GMAT scores are accepted only for international or overseas candidates
Average GMAT score range for IIM-A's PGPX: 695 - 728
The one year Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management (EPGP) offered to professionals with 4 - 12 years of work experience, requires a GMAT or GRE score.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) of Great Lakes (GLIM, Chennai) uses GMAT scores apart from other Indian exams like CAT, XAT etc. Even though the official website states that there is no minimum GMAT score (overall profile of candidate is considered), the profile of current students and alumni gives us a good idea about Great Lakes' GMAT cut off.
