The National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) was established in 1963 by the Government of India, in collaboration with United Nations Development Project (UNDP) through the International Labour Organization (ILO). It is one of the leading institutes for Management education in India. It is located in the picturesque surroundings of Powai and Vihar Lake with mesmerizing and serene locales. NITIE is an autonomous body under the Ministry of HRD (MHRD), Government of India and is governed by Board of Governors, comprising of eminent personalities from Government, Academics and Industry. Right from the beginning, NITIE has provided with solutions to the complex problems of industries and business, taking into consideration the ever-changing needs of the dynamic business environment. Over the years, it has emerged as India’s ‘Ivy-League’ B-Schools and has been recognized as a centre of excellence along with the IITs, IIMs and IISc.
NITIE has been a torchbearer in India for delivering excellent management professionals to the industry year after year. The corporate giants pick up young managers in large numbers from NITIE. Giving wings to the dreams of these young managers are companies like JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, Barclays, Citi Group, Asian Paints and GE (IMLP, Commercial Finance), HUL, GSK, Procter and Gamble, Colgate Palmolive, Cadburys, Britannia, Johnson & Johnson, ITC, Glenmark, Reckitt Benckiser, American Express, ICICI Bank, Standard Chartered, Kotak Mahindra and Yes Bank just to name a few.
Every candidate has to qualify through G.A.T.E. This is followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) of the short listed candidates to be held at NITIE, Mumbai. Work experience will be given suitable weightage. Candidates need to submit a photocopy of GATE scorecard / printout of GATE score from website.
