From 2014-2015 onward, the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) has been using the Common Admission Test (CAT ) scores for admissions to its popular two-year post graduate programme in rural management.
This change in IRMA's admission process is due to the directive from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), asking affiliated institutes to choose only from one of the five entrance tests for admissions - CAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA and GMAT.
(News update: IRMA to use CAT 2013 Scores for Admission to Rural Management Courses)
However since CAT does not have a section that can test the candidates' interest in rural management and social issues, IRMA will also be conducting its own test to assess candidates qualifying through CAT.
