'The Institute of Management', previously know as Nirma Institute of Management, is a constituent of the eminent Nirma University of Science and Technology. The Institute was established in 1996 with a view to promote excellence in management education and to prepare young men & women to meet the challenges of the developing corporate world.

Admission Procedure

The selection procedure for admission consists of two steps:

Written Test:
Applicants for the full-time programme are required to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the IIMs.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview:
Candidates short-listed on the basis of their performance in the written test are then called for group discussion and personal interview. The group discussion/personal interview is generally held at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, and New Delhi. The final selection to the programme is based on the candidate’s performance in the written test, group discussion, personal interview and work experience.

The following weightage is given for each component of the selection criteria:

• Written Test: 70%
• Personal Interview: 20% 
• Group Discussion: 10%Placement 

Note: An additional score upto 10 points for work experience is also given for Full-time work experience at managerial level in a professional organization.

 
Placement

The Institute has an impeccable record of 100% placements with a constant increase in the average salary each year. The average salary for the current batch is Rs. 6.7 lacs per annum.
