FTII is spreading its arms across India
We do not need to travel all the way to Pune now to visit The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) as it is now coming to us.
FTII has initiated a 20-day course in filmmaking which will be conducted for the first time in Guwahati. In this initiative, FTII has decided to cover various cities all across India in an attempt to spread the art of filmmaking.

FTII Chairperson, Gajendra Chauhan said, “Number of seats in FTII is very limited. But the film industry needs huge numbers of professionals. This industry is no longer limited to Mumbai. It is in Delhi, southern states and other areas. So we have decided that FTII-initiated courses will be started in most of the states.”
These courses will cover acting, screen-play writing and cinematography.
FTII will be reaching out to the various State Governments to organise a venue to conduct this workshop and depending on the response they receive, they will take this up in other cities as well.
Gajendra Chauhan was asked if there was going to be an increase in fees however he said that a fee hike of 20% was introduced just recently.
