IIT Guwahati to conduct GATE 2018

IIT Guwahati is going to conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in 2018, after eight years since it handled the exam in 2010. The announcement was made by IIT Guwahati on its official website.

IIT Guwahati will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018 on 3, 4, 10 and 11 February, 2018.The registration procedure will begin from September 1. The last date for submission of online application through website is October 5.

The GATE 2018 fee can be paid online or via e-challan. The online application fee for GATE 2018 differs according to the following categories

  • Men: General Category/OBC Rs 1,500
  • Women: Any Category Rs 750
  • SC/ST/PwD Rs. 750

GATE scores enable candidates to get admission to MTech/ME courses. The GATE score is also used by some PSUs for their recruitment. The GATE score is valid for three years. There is no restriction in the number of attempts for taking the test.
