Candidates who have secured 50% and above in their Bachelors/graduation are eligible to apply for the IIFT MBA Entrance Exam 2018. Earlier a candidate with a Bachelors degree could apply for the entrance exam without any restrictions on the graduation marks. That will not be the case this year onward.
The official notification from IIFT regarding revised eligibility criteria reads, 'Recognized Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with 50% marks in Graduation (45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates). Candidate appearing in the final year examination of Graduation can also apply.'

The change in the eligibility criteria for IIFT MBA entrance exam came after considering the eligibility criteria for other MBA entrance exams to other B-schools across India. Other entrance exams like CAT, NMAT by GMAC, SNAP, AICTE-CMAT already have the minimum 50% in Graduation criteria in place.
For those of you who do not know or are unsure about the IIFT entrance exam date; IIFT 2018 will take place on December 3, 2017 as opposed to the earlier scheduled date of November 26, 2017. This move was made after CAT announced their exam date and IIFT wanted to avoid any date clashes.
