Overall Pass Percentage drops for CBSE Class 12 Result 2017 with 82.02%
28 May, 2017; New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education 9CBSE) today declared the Class 12th results at 10.20 AM for all the 10.2 lakh students who had appeared for the exams from 9 March - 29th April, 2017. The overall pass percentage this year is 82.02% which is 1.03% less than last year's result. Girls (87.0%) have a better pass percentage than the boys (78%) yet again .
Out of the 10,76,761 students who registered for the CBSE class XII exams this year, 10,20,762 students actually appeared for the exams. Out of which, 8,37,229 students passed their CBSE 12th board exams successfully.

- Raksha Gopal from Amity School in NOIDA, NCR is the CSE class 12 Topper 2017 having scored 498 marks.
- Bhoomi Sawant from DAV School in Chandigarh ranks 2nd with 497 marks
- Aditya Jain and Mannat Luthra both from Bhavan's School in Chandigarh are tied at the 3rd rank with 496 marks.
The Trivandrum region has achieved the highest pass percentage with 95.62%, followed by the Chennai region (92.60%) and at the 3rd position is the Delhi region with 88.37%. CBSE managed to declare the class 12 result 2017 on time despite the late start of the exams this year owing to state assembly elections in Punjab, Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh
The CBSE class 12 results 2017 are awaited by 10.20 lakh students who appeared for the exams from 9 March to 29 April 2017 while 16.6 lakh students are anxious about their CBSE class 10 results 2017 for the exams that were held from 9 March to 3 April 2017.
