The Paul Foundation Scholarship

The Paul Foundation has been conceived to promote the individual's quest for intellectual excellence. To pursue higher studies in India and abroad, the Foundation will offer scholarships to those Indians who have shown the ability in their specific areas of interest, to give them an opportunity to develop their potential and be recognized as leaders.

Scholarship Details

The Paul Foundation Scholarship will be awarded to students aspiring to excel and to lead. The purpose is to make a difference by encouraging and stimulating outstanding scholars who have a demonstrated ability and intellectual excellence to produce thoughtful and thought-provoking work and who can in turn contribute to making a difference to society.

The scholarships are open for academic courses through taught programmes that contribute positively to building a learning and knowledge society. The choice of subjects is diverse, but not all-inclusive.

The number of scholarships and value depend on the study programs and the Paul Foundation has the full authority to decide it.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have completed their graduation from a UGC recognised Indian University to be eligible for the scholarships.

  • He/she must have First Class (that is 60% or equivalent Grade) in all previous qualifying examinations, i.e.10+2+3+2.

  • The scholarships are open to all Indian Citizens of either sex.

  • Candidates must have a First Class degree from a UGC recognized University in India or a recognized university abroad

  • They must be resident in India at the time of application or if short-listed, applicant must appear in person for the interview.

  • Candidate must be below 30 years of age as on 1st November 2007.

  • Prior admission / offered admission to an institution is absolutely necessary to be offered a scholarship.
The institution concerned must be of top rank only.

Courses of Study

Programmes leading up to a degree at any of the leading Universities, Institutes, Centres anywhere in the world, including India.

Please note: Short-term courses are not considered.

Subjects

The subjects covered under the scholarships for higher study are: Humanities, Basic Sciences, Applied Sciences, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Management, Law, Medicine. Any area of knowledge that extends the founders of understanding.

Selection Criteria

The selection is made by an independent Selection Committee on the basis of written applications, followed by personal interviews. The criteria are: Potential & Self Motivation, Achievement & Evidence of Initiative and Suitability.
