Value of Scholarship:

i) Scholarship holders will receive during the period of study, a monthly scholarship of 6000 SKK for Master's Level

ii) In addition the student will receive SKK 1000, on arrival in the Slovak Republic and SKK 1000 of the time of departure

Duration: As per rules of Slovak Universities.

Salient features:

1. The scholarship is non-transferable.



2. Studies will be imparted in Slovak Language



3. Scholarship holders are exempted from paying administrative fees for submission of the application for granting and extending of the long-term stay permit in Slovak Republic.



4. The period of study includes one year of the language and professional preparation for applicants from the developing countries.



5. Accommodation in students dormitory and board in students cafeterias under the same conditions will be provided as provided to Slovak students.



6. Travel cost from India to Slovak Republic and back is to be borne by the candidate or his/her Employer/Sponsor.



7. The health care shall be provided as it is provided to the employees of the respective university.

Selection Process:

Interview/Examination: The Slovakian Universities generally do the selection on the basis of application accompanied by the necessary documents. However, if the Universities are not satisfied with the documents, then they have the right to call the applicant for an interview or examination, before admission to the study course after he/ she reaches Slovak Republic.

The announcement for above scholarship is published in the HRD Ministry’s website – www.education.nic.in. Application form can be downloaded from the site or can also be submitted on-line. In case on-line submission, the candidates must produce the registration number received on line, the attested photographs and attested copies of the certificates should be sent to the Department of Secondary & Higher Education, External Scholarship Division, Govt. of India.
