Central Institute of Indian Languages - Scholarships for Research in Modern Indian Languages

Eligibility Criteria

1) Age - Below 30 years

2) Relaxation - 5 year relaxation for SC/ST candidates

3) Academic qualifications - Master’s in Linguistics or allied areas with a minimum of 55 to 60% marks

4) Other - The candidate should register in a University within 6 months

Scholarship Details

1) Number of Fellowships - 5

2) Duration - 2 years

3) Value
  • Rs.4000 pm without NET
  • Rs.5000 pm with NET
4) Contingency Grant - Rs.5000 pa

Application Procedure - Applications should be sent in the prescribed format along with attested copies of testimonials, the research proposal and the approval of supervisor.

  • In months of April/ May of each year
  • Deadline as per the notification
