Engineering And Technology - Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship

The Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation aims to recognize and promote excellence in the field of Health and education. To achieve this objective, the Foundation has set up the Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship (NSS) Programme to evolve a group of young professionals and leaders of high caliber imbued with values of entrepreneurship and ethics. They shall be committed to achieving the professed goals of excellence.

The foundation ahs instituted Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship which will be open to meritorious Indian students pursuing post graduate studies in leading and prestigious institutes in India and abroad. The students will receive an interest free loan up to a maximum of rupees ten lakhs. The scholar should put in added effort to acquire the rest.

Eligibility Criteria

1.) Age limit: 30 years as on 31st Jan of the year of scholarship application.

2.) Students with a consistently good academic background and having achieved distinction as all-rounders and having shown excellence in other co-curricular activities are encouraged to apply.

3.) Students who are desirous of pursuing post graduate studies in prestigious institutes in India and abroad are eligible to apply. Students should have already applied for admission to the University/ Institution of their choice. Students awaiting admission can also apply.

4.) Students who are in the final year of graduation and or are awaiting their results are also eligible to apply. 

5.) Scholarship will be open to students of Indian nationality residing in India.

6.) In case of overseas study, only those students seeking admission during First semester (June-October) or equivalent will be considered.

Selection Process

1. The selection process for the Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship programme is a very rigorous one. Only applications from students who meet the eligibility criteria and have an excellent academic background and have achieved distinction as all-rounders will be considered.



2. After an initial screening of eligible applications, candidates will be shortlisted for a personal interview.



3. Scholars selected for the interview will be individually intimated.



4. The interviews will be held at Mumbai at a predetermined venue about which scholars will be informed. Those appearing for the interview will bear their own travel and other expenses. The interview is mandatory and is conducted by an eminent panel including subject experts.



5. The final selection of Scholars will be decided on the basis of their interview.



6. Selected students will be intimated by courier and by telephone.

How to Apply

Interested students for the scholarship can apply on the prescribed application form which can be downloaded from the official site of the foundation. The application forms complete in all respects must reach the Foundation office by the stipulkated date as mentioned in the information bulletin. An application fee of Rs.300/- will have to be paid and should accompany the duly filled forms. The forms will be available from 1st January of the year of disbursement of scholarship.

All selected scholars, besides developing an expertise in the subject of their choice, will enjoy the privilege of being guided by a group of “mentors” to further nurture their professional growth and develop a right attitude towards life. “Mentors” will provide the motivation and encouragement to achieve excellence in their endeavours.
