Indian National Science Academy - Swarnajayanti Fellowships for Young Scientists

Eligibility Criteria - The candidate

• should be a scientist
• should hold a regular position in any R&D organization including universities/colleges
• should not have availed the INSA Visiting Scientist position for the past 5 years

Fellowship Details

1) Number of Fellowship - A maximum 120 pa

2) Duration - 1–6 months

3) Value - Rs.5000 pm (3000 DA and 2000 Honorarium) + Salary from parent institution

4) Travel Grant - To and fro travel expenses by First Class or II-AC sleeper from the parent organization to the proposed institute of work.

Application Procedure - Applications should be made in the prescribed proforma and sent in along with bio-data and a concise plan of the proposed work/study. It is desirable for the candidate to get in touch with the host institution and the scientist concerned to ascertain their willingness to accept her/him.

Selection Procedure - Selection will be made by the Science Promotion Committee during March–April the next year.
