Department of Culture - Fellowships to Outstanding Artists in the Field of Performing, Literary and Plastic Arts

Eligibility Criteria

1) Age - Between 25 to 65 years

2) Relaxation - 5 year in age limit for deserving candidates

3) Academic - The artist should have achieved excellence in her / his respective field and should be able to provide evidence thereof

Fellowship Details

1) Number of Scholarships

• Junior Fellowships - 150
• Senior Fellowships - 50

2) Duration - 1–3 years

3) Value

• Junior Fellowship - 1500 pm
• Senior Fellowship - 3000 pm

4) Monitoring - The Fellow should submit a yearly report

Application Procedure - Through nominations

Selection Procedure - A Selection Committee of experts in various fields, constituted by the Department of Culture selects from among the nominations.

Notification & Deadline - Notified through a circular to State Governments/ UT Administrations and Central/ State Academies of Art in June–July
