The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India offers financial assistance to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes students studying at post matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education. The scholarships are available for studies in India only and are awarded by the government of the respective State/Union Territory to which the applicant actually belongs i.e. permanently settled.
Eligibility Criteria 1) Academic The candidate should have passed Matriculation or Higher Secondary or any higher examination of a recognized University or Board of Secondary Education.
2) Other The candidate should
- belong to Scheduled Tribes.
- be eligible according to a 'means test'.
Scholarship Details1) Number of Scholarships - Vary with the requirement
2) Duration - For the entire period of study
3) Value- *Full maintenance allowance and full fee
- **Half maintenance allowance and full fee (See Annexure 2 for details)
4) Monitoring of ProgressThe award once made will be tenable from the stage at which it is given to the completion of the course subject to good conduct and regularity in attendance.

Note : *In case of students whose parent's/ guardian's income from all sources does not exceed Rs.45760 pa.
**In case of students whose parent's/ guardian's income from all sources exceeds Rs.45760 pa but does not exceeds Rs.60965 pa and who pursue.
