Purpose - To increase knowledge and understanding between Indians and Canadians through academic exchange and collaboration.

Programme - Faculty Research/ Enrichment, and Doctoral Research

Discipline/ Subject Area - Humanities, Social Sciences, Management, Law, Heath, Environmental Studies, Science and Technology, Canadian Studies.

Eligibility Criteria

Faculty Research/ Enrichment - Candidate should be full time members of academic staff of a research and policy institute in India or Professor Emeritus.


Doctoral - The candidate should

• be enrolled in a recognised institution granting PhD degree
• have completed her/his non-thesis requirements for PhD

All candidates should

• be a permanent resident of India
• have a detailed plan of work to be implemented during the tenure of Fellowship
• be proficient in English/French

Fellowship details

1. Duration - 2–10 months
2. Value - $ 1500 pm
3. Contingency Grant - $ 500
4. HRA - $ 1000 pm
5. Travel Grant - Economy class return airfare
