Scholarship and financial assistance schemes by the Parishad
Sahitya Kala Parishad awards Scholarships for a period of two years of Rs.1,500/- per month for students interested in pursuing advance training in the field of music and dance.
Financial assistance of Rs. 2,000/- P.m. is also on offer for old age artists in needy circumstances. Sahitya Kala Parishad offers this grant on lifetime- basis to deserving candidates.
Awards and prizes are also given annually to the deserving candidates of proven merit who have achieved excellence in their respective fields which includes eminent artists, Gurus, scholars, journalists for their remarkable contribution in creation, innovation and promotion of art & culture. The cash amount given to the artists is from Rs.5, 000/- to Rs.11, 00,000/-. They include Parishad Samman, Mohan Rakesh Samman and prizes in fine arts competitions etc.
So far, many young and senior artists/cultural Institutions benefit from Delhi Government's financial assistance scheme.
