University of Sussex Scolarships 2015 for Indian Students
The University of Sussex, United Kingdom is offering scholarships for students from India. Scholarships are being awarded for Master's degree programmes in specified areas of subjects only.
Sussex India Scholarship 2015
This programme is launched as part of an initiative to provide better educational opportunities for all overseas fee paying students from India. This scholarship is offered as a fee reduction and the award amount is £3,000.

Only self-financing students from India are eligible for the scholarship. They must have received an acceptance letter offer for a full-time Master's course at the University of Sussex commencing in September 2015. Applicants can apply to postgraduate degree courses such as M.A., M.Sc., LL.M, except the following courses:

- common professional examination (CPE) /graduate diploma in law
- graduate diploma in Economics
- Masters degree in Social Work
- Social Work post qualifying Masters degrees
- PGCE courses and schools direct teaching courses
- M.Sc Automotive Engineering
- Master of Education (two years part-time)
- M.A degrees in IDS apart from the MA Gender and Development and the MA in Climate Change and Development
- Pre-Masters degrees and diplomas taught at partner colleges which are validated by Sussex
Applicants will not be eligible to receive this award if their tuition fees are funded by an external funding body. You shall be allowed to received one scholarship at a time, the scholarship cannot be clubbed with other scholarships.
Last date for sending the application for scholarship to master's course is 1 August, 2015
Candidates can apply for admissions to the post-graduate courses as per eligibility through the university's online postgraduate application system between 1 October, 2014 - 1 August, 2015.
If you receive an acceptance/offer for the course, you may be required to indicate interest in the Sussex India Scholarship on accepting the offer online or if you have already accepted the offer, you may be require to log in and do this later.

Economic and Social Development Scholarship 2015
This scholarship is offered to students registered for one-year master's degree programme in specific areas only. It is essentially designed for students who will contribute to the social or economic development of their countries when they return on completion of their studies.The scholarship amount includes £5,000 fee waiver. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit only.
The application deadline is 5 April, 2015
Applicants must be citizens and residents of India, Pakistan or Sri Lanka. Candidates currently studying in UK are not eligible to apply. Also, applicants must be applying for a master's degree in the following subject areas: Anthroplogy, Development studies/International Development, Economics, Education (MA in childhood and youth studies), Gender studies, International Relations, Human rights, Migration Studies. Applicants applying for the same should not have studied previously at degree level in the UK. They must also be classified to pay fees at the overseas rate.
All applicants must complete the application form in the format specified on the website and should be send to the student funding team before the deadline. Selected candidates will be informed around the start of June.
