One cannot underestimate the scope of science in today's world. Science is the backbone of human existence. The practical effects of science can be seen in motion everywhere. Science, in the broad sense, refers to any systematic knowledge or practice that is achieved through scientific method and research. The word Science has been derived from the Latin word ‘scientia’ meaning knowledge. Science continuously seeks physical and logical explanations for the behaviour of the object in nature and tries to dispel suspicion and superstition. The (unstated) aim of science education in Indian schools has been to produce more people like Aryabhatta, C.V Raman, Dr. Kalam and Homi Bhabha.

Science can be broadly classified under two categories: Natural sciences, which deal with natural phenomena (including biological life), and Social sciences, which deal with human behavior and societies. Our present concern is concentrated on natural science which can also be called as basis sciences.
