Federal Holidays in US

If you plan to travel to or travel in the United States during peak tourist seasons or holidays, you must plan your trip well in advance. The peak months include the Easter observance (either in March or April); the summer months of June through August; and the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day holidays in November, December, and January.

Here is a list of Federal holidays observed in the US:

New Year's Day — January 1

Martin Luther King Day — observed the third Monday in January

Inauguration Day
- The first January 20, during a president's term

Presidents' Day — observed the third Monday in February

Memorial Day
— observed the Last Monday in May

Independence Day — July 4

Labor Day
— observed the first Monday in September

Columbus Day — observed the second Monday in October

Veteran's Day — November 11

Thanksgiving Day — observed the fourth Thursday in November

Christmas Day
— December 25

    Hello Girishkumar,First you have to take TOEFL. Then appear for SAT. 89 is the minimum requirement in TOEFL. Try to get at least 1700 in SAT to qualify for good US university. Gather letter of recommendation from your school. Your essay should be touching. Extra curricular activity certificates should be attached with your application form.
