Introduction

Bushra International Institute of Graduate Studies (BIIGS) operates in conjunction with a transnational group having over 15 years experience in International Education.

Our goal is to provide Indian students with a locally relevant international education, in India and at a reasonable cost.

Operating from campuses in Mumbai and Pune, BIIGS offers full and part time Masters and Bachelor Degree Programs in the fields of Management and Information

Technology from Charles Stuart University, Australia and Bachelor degree programs in Business from Northwood University, USA.

Our
students study internationally acclaimed curriculum developed by the principal universities, are encouraged to apply their theoretical knowledge in the local environment so as to gain experience based holistic learning.

Combining a focus on result orientation, a synthesis of theory and practice and the vision to anticipate the future and proactively upgrade their skills, our graduates are ideally placed to lead and stay competitive.

A. Post Graduate
The BIIGS range of postgraduate programs is designed to suit the needs of students who have already completed a Bachelor degree program. There are offerings from our partners in Australia and in the USA and study options are available to suit both full time students and students who are already in the workforce.

1.MBA - Overview

MBA - Details

The MBA program combines breadth and depth. The program comprises 12 subjects (each containing 3 to 5 modules). Breadth is provided by a common core of six subjects (giving students coverage of the principal areas of business management). Students take a specialisation of four subjects to provide depth in their chosen area of interest, with a further two elective subjects (taken from the other specialisations), allowing students to study further in areas that will be of value to them in their future careers.

To provide extra value to students, BIIGS provides a supplementary global module covering the business practices, the political environment and the cultural and social issues of major and emerging economies that influence trade and life in general. The supplementary module also includes an international language to enable future leaders to communicate with business associates from across the globe.

Admission to the course requires students to have an acceptable three year undergraduate degree from a recognized university, and to meet the University's English Language standard. Contact us for more details.

2Bridging - Overview

An American MBA is the dream to which many students aspire. But even the first enquiry will reveal that American universities ask for 16 years of prior education while most Indian graduates have only 15. Complete the BIIGS - Northwood Bridge program here in India to get that 16th year of education, and to qualify for guaranteed admission into the Northwood University MBA, while at the same time receiving a Graduate Diploma from BIIGS. The BIIGS range of graduate programs is designed to suit the needs of students who have completed their year 12 studies, and are looking for an alternative to the normal Indian Bachelor degree program. The offerings from our partners in Australia and in the USA give students a choice of study destinations, and our modern facilities and internationally designed curriculum ensure the highest quality learning outcomes.

1.BBA - Overview

Today's businesses demand professionals with extremely high level of skills in the areas of business, international affairs and interpersonal development. This is because the national boundaries, as we knew them are now redundant. And, the world has become universal marketplace. Moreover, technology and consumer demands change rapidly.
The association between Northwood University (USA) and BIIGS enables Indian students to become truly global players having a strong accent on the future.
With this collaboration, students start their American Degree at BIIGS and finish the final year in America at Northwood. This option helps to reduce the overall duration of studies and to cut total education cost by up to 70% or more. At the same time students have the best possible preparation for jobs and careers in today's global employment market.

BBA - Details

The program has been specially designed by senior Northwood University staff to assist Indian students adapt to the demands of an American qualification. Students complete 36 courses in 6 semesters then transfer to Northwood University to complete their course in approximately 12 months.

BBA - Entry Requirements

Admission to the program requires students to have good results in the Year 12 H.S.C. examination (normally at least 55% overall), and to have scored at least 55% in the HSC English subject.

2BBS - Overview

The dynamic Bachelor of Business Studies curriculum meets the demands for increased quality, flexibility and effectiveness required within organisations. It enables students to embrace a rapidly changing world. Students gain a solid grounding in business operations, supported by one or more appropriate study areas. The objectives of this course are to give students a thorough understanding of:

The program comprises 24 subjects to be offered over three years (studied in two 16 week semesters and one 10 week semester)

  • 2 specialist streams chosen from the list given below (which will vary from time to time depending on student demand)
  • Either a third specialist stream, or 5 other subjects of the student's choice chosen from the subjects offered in either the Bachelor of Business Studies or the Bachelor of Information Technology

3BIT - Overview

Information technology is ever evolving. The Bachelor of Information Technology courseware is relevantly designed to teach graduates to think logically rather than heuristically.
The course aims to:

  • Hone student skills in the latest information technology.
  • Train students to correctly visualize and specify the needs of the system, and teach them to construct and document it to the satisfaction of the customer, leading to better productivity and no cost over-runs.
  • Ensure competency in a range of techniques for gathering, storing, analysing and presenting information.
  • Help students gain an understanding of key areas in which information systems are applied.
  • Enhance student experience with Object Oriented software skills and their ability to create complex systems.
  • Provide specialized in depth training in key areas of information technology application.
  • Foster the pleasure of being creative in realizing software dreams.

    BIT - Details

    The program comprises 23 subjects to be offered over 3 years (studied in two 16 week semesters, and one 10 week semester)

    In order to graduate, students must complete

    • 11 compulsory subjects,
    • A specialist stream in IT (which must comprise at least 4 subjects with at least one at third year level)
    • A second specialist stream in either IT or in Business
    • 4 elective subjects
