Higher education in Dubai like elsewhere in UAE comprises several academic and professional institutions. Over the last 20 years, the number of colleges and universities in Dubai has grown in numbers. It has increased by almost 30%. Course outline and lecture notes are sometimes distributed among the students to help them prepare for exams. Lab work consist of small groups of students. Student performance is assessed via tests, assignments and projects. Some universities also require the students to complete work experience training for two months.
Higher education in Dubai also includes training institutes where you can enroll for part-time or full-time courses. Institutes offer both local programs or internationally recognized certifications.Student performance is assessed by a computer-based exam, written exam or practical tasks.
