Bahasa Malaysia is the official language of Malaysia. English is carried on as a secondary language and is the medium of studies in schools and colleges. People generally speak, write, and understand English in most of the parts of Malaysia.

Malay is also spoken in Indonesia, Brunei, and Singapore. It is natively spoken by over 40 million people across the neighboring regions. It is always special to use regional vocabulary in a foreign land to communicate with the native people.
