Special Features : The Fellowships are awarded for advanced studies/research at Universities/research institutions in Germany and not for a degree. Scholar working for their Ph.D. (except those applying under the sandwich-Model) are expected to complete their doctorate thesis before their departure. The Sandwich Model multi-phase scheme offers the applicant to carry out his research in India and in Germany under the supervision of an Indian/German guide according to previously drafted scheduled.
