If you enjoy working with complex mathematical and statistical techniques leading to the design and pricing of insurance products, you can consider specializing in Actuarial Science which trains you to become a qualified actuary. In Applied Economics, you study real-life economic issues such as the impact of trade on growth and how to manage public funds to raise a country's welfare, issues critical to many countries today. This will help you to contribute as a researcher or a professional economist. The fast pace of technological change means that firms will need to learn how to use IT to grow their businesses. Graduates with in-depth knowledge of Information Technology working as Business IT analysts or IT consultants will be in great demand by firms and industries. On the other hand, if you are strongly people-oriented and you believe that the key to growth lies in developing people to the best of their ability, you should take up Human Resource Consulting. You can work as a headhunter or a consultant on compensation, personnel policy, training, and change management issues. No business can survive without good marketing. If you enjoy interacting with people, specializing in Marketing can help you select a career in market communications, logistics management, brand management or retail management.
