Undergraduate Study - UK
Studying an Undergraduate Program in the UKUK undergraduate experience is an experience of a lifetime and would give you immense opportunity to get into the depths of your subject, learn research skills, and presentation methods. You can choose from over thousand courses from areas like business, arts, humanities, sciences, social sciences and languages.
Undergraduate degrees in England, Northern Ireland and Wales usually takes three years leading to an honours degree like BA English, BSc Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering (BE). The scene in Scotland is slightly different. It takes three years to complete an ordinary degree and four years to be awarded with an honours degree. Scottish undergraduates are sometimes awarded with MA, Msc or MEng degree.
Another interesting factor of UK colleges and universities is that the results of first year examinations do not count towards final degrees. Undergraduate degrees are awarded after awarding marks of second and third year results.
Eligibility:Every course will have a different eligibility criteria. However, the general admission criteria will require you to complete at least 13 years of education in your country which are equivalent to UK -A levels, Scottish Highers or Diplomas.
Courses- Degrees
Degrees are the most popular undergraduate qualification in the UK.
They are usually studied over a period of three years in England,
Northern Ireland and Wales. In Scotland, it requires four years to complete a degree. Some degree courses may be extended
for a year to enable students to spend a year in industry (such as on
engineering degrees) or overseas (such as on degrees in modern
languages).
Sandwich Courses
Sandwich courses are degree programmes study periods plus an additional year in the relevant industry. This usually means that the course extends to four years instead of the usual three. One year work experience can be carried in a single block or divided in two blocks of six months each.

They are available in fields like art and design, media and communications, engineering and hospitality management. It is a good foundation base to proceed towards a degree course. - Diplomas of Higher Education
Diplomas of Higher Education are two-year courses in subject areas usually related to the social sciences, such as education, theology, communication studies and social work. - University International Foundation Year
