Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS MBBS Exam 2017

Medical aspirants need to meet the following requirements in order to appear for the AIIMS MBBS medical entrance exam, 2017 that is being held for admission to AIIMS, New Delhi and the 6 new AIIMS located in Bhopal, Patna, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Raipur and Bhubaneswar.

Eligibility criteria for Indian nationals

For AIIMS, New Delhi and the six AIIMS-like institutions

Candidates should be 17 years of age by 31 December of the year of admission. Candidates should have passed the 10+2 exam or equivalent with a minimum of 60 percent marks in the aggregate of English, physics, chemistry and biology. Minimum marks are 50 percent in the case of SC/ST candidates.

If you have appeared or are appearing for the qualifying examination with English, physics, chemistry and biology as main subjects, you are eligible to apply provided that you earn the necessary qualifying marks. Evidence of passing marks must be produced when required.

Eligibility criteria for foreign nationals

Only for AIIMS, New Delhi

 

Foreign nationals nominated by the Government of India must have at least 50 percent marks in English, physics, chemistry and biology combined in intermediate science or equivalent. These candidates do not need to appear for the AIIMS MBBS 2017 entrance examination.

Eligibility criteria for overseas citizens of India (OCI)

For AIIMS, New Delhi and the six AIIMS-like institutions

These candidates are also eligible to appear for the test. The conditions that apply to OCIs are the same as for Indian nationals. Proof of registration as OCI is required.
