The Dayalbagh Educational Institute of Distance Education (D.E.I.) was launched in 2004 to provide the benefits of the value-based educational system to the weaker sections and women particularly in remote, backward and tribal areas in various parts of the country for their empowerment and economic development. Its objective is to provide need-based education and vocational training at low cost.
 
The Distance Education Council (IGNOU) had given approval for the Distance Education Program of DEI and recognition accorded to the Institute by the DEC on the recommendation of the Joint Committee of UGC-AICTE-DEC for a period of three academic years with effect from academic year 2009-10.
 
The distance education cell offers courses that are a  mix of traditional instruction and e-education. Videos, live and web-based lessons, and recorded video lectures are used to give lesson instructions. Students provided with self-learning printed material, question banks and access to reference material. The medium of instruction at Distance Education Cell includes English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. In addition, counseling and placement assistance are provided at all the centres.

Courses Offered:

This institute provides with Certificate courses in electrician, wireman jobs, Post Graduate and Under Graduate degree for commerce and management along with Modular in various unconventional fields like welding, dyeing, Bamboo Application Technology sewing for modular degree.  They also offer Post Graduate Diploma in Theology, Mass Communication and Computer science and application.

Admissions:

  • Citizen of India

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college/institute by MHRD and Government of India

  • Final exam candidates are eligible

  • Minimum 50% in graduation

  • Previous applicants can apply again

ATMA 2022: Exam Pattern

Applicants seeking  admission at any DEI Distance Education Study Centre must inform the specific Study Centre their desire of seeking admission at the location and give a copy of their APPLICATION PDF  at the Study Centre. Those who have already applied should also do so. This will ensure that their application is  considered for admission at the specific location and they will also be allowed to write the admission test at the same location.
