Pre-Master of Computer Applications (MCA) 2013 Examination

The Pre-Master of Computer Applications (MCA) 2013 entrance exam will take place on 17 February 2013.

The entrance test is conducted by Madhya Pradesh Vyavasayik Pariksha Mandal (VYAPAM) in order to select candidates for the MCA course at a government, private or other All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved institution. The Madhya Pradesh (MP) exam is intended primarily for MP domicile candidates, who will receive most of the seats in government and other institutions.

Pre-MCA 2013 Important Dates

The ranking list determining admission will be published online at the Counselling Cell, Directorate of Technical Education, MP, Bhopal or VYAPAM website and in various newspapers.

Pre-MCA 2013 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for admission to the MCA course should have graduated with at least 50 percent marks, or 45 percent for Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes/Other Backward Classes excluding Cream Layer (SC/ST/OBC) in a Madhya Pradesh University Grants Commission/All India Council for Technical Education (UGC/AICTE) approved Indian university or equivalent. The degree earned should be a bachelor's degree of at least three-years duration at the 10+2 or graduate level. Mathematics is also required.

If you are in your final year of the degree, you are also eligible to apply, provided that you pass the degree before taking admission.

VYAPAM, Bhopal will prepare a merit list for Pre-MCA based on the results of the entrance test.

Pre-MCA 2013 Exam Pattern

The test starts at 10 a.m. and two hours is allowed for completion.

The exam covers a variety of subjects and has a total of 100 questions.

The admit card will be available on the VYAPAM website.

Calculators, phones and so forth and not allowed in the test centre.

Pre-MCA 2013 Application Process

To apply for the exam, the application should be completed online.

The exam fee is Rs. 600/- for unreserved and OBC candidates. For SC/ST and Handicapped candidates, the fee is Rs. 300/-.
