The Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) is a government of India undertaking (public sector bank.)
Till the year 2011, it used to conduct the OBC Bank PO exam for recruitment of probationary officers. However, in 2011, the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) authorised the IBPS to conduct a Common Written Examination (CWE) for recruitment of bank probationary officers (PO) and management trainees (MT.) Since then, the Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) has been using the IBPS CWE Bank PO exam and common interview for recruitment of its probationary officers.

Age Limit
Candidate age should be between 25 to 35 years for Post 01, 02, 23 to 35 years for Post 03, 21 to 30 years Post 4 as on 01st April 017Â
Upper age relaxation is applicable by 5 years for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe, 3 years for Other Backward Classes, 10 years for Persons with Disability as per rulesÂ

Eligibility
A candidate must be either-
(i) a citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in IndiaÂ
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of IndiaÂ
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the exam/interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Govt. of IndiaÂ
Educational Qualification
The candidates who are applying for Oriental Bank of Commerce Recruitment 2017-120 Senior Manager & Assistant Manager Vacancies must possess, CA Pass in 1st Attempt and MBA Finance/ Full time PGDBM of 02 years with specialization in Finance/ Qualified Chartered Accountant/ ICWA/ CFA from a recognized university/institutes recognized by the central government with relevant Post Experience in corresponding fieldsÂ

The selected candidates for the Oriental Bank of Commerce Specialist Officer Recruitment 2017  will get pay band as followsÂ
i. For Senior Manager (FA) – Chartered Accountant, Taxation) [MMGS-III] – Rs.42020/- to Rs.51490/-Â
ii. Senior Manager (FA)-Chartered Accountant Ind AS Cell [MMGS-III] – Rs.42020/- to Rs.51490/-Â
iii. Manager (FA) – Chartered Accountant (MMGS-II) – Rs.31705/- to Rs.45950/-Â
iv. Assistant Manager (Financial Analyst) [JMGS-I] – Rs. 23700-42020/-Â
Exam Structure
The structure of written test of the above posts shall be as follows:Â
- Reasoning – 40 No. of Questions; 40 Maximum MarksÂ
- English Language – 40 No. of Questions; 25 Maximum MarksÂ
- General Awareness with special reference to Banking Industry – 30 No. of Questions; 20 Maximum MarksÂ
- Quantitative Aptitude – 40 No. of Questions; 40 Maximum MarksÂ
- Professional Knowledge – 50 No. of Questions; 75 Maximum MarksÂ
Total No. of Questions: 200 and Maximum Marks 200 or total time 120 minutes
