Admission process and eligibility criteria: Students who have passed the +2 Science examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory along with Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology / Bio-technology or who have passed the 3 year degree in Engineering conducted by the State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Orissa or an equivalent examination, recognized by BPUT, are eligible to the B.Tech. programme through the ranks obtained in Orissa JEE. 70% of the seats are filled through OJEE quota and 15% of seats are filled through AIEEE rank. Remaining 15% seats are reserved for NRI category students. Admissions to seats under the PIO/NRI are on the basis of ranks in OJEE/AIEEE, as per the guidelines issued by the Govt. of Orissa from time to time. Lateral Entry: 10% seats of the total intake are open to candidates for lateral entry to the 3rd semester. Such students must have passed +3 Science from a recognized institution or the Diploma Engineering Examination conducted by the State Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training, Orissa or its equivalent securing at least 60% of the total marks in aggregate.
