We are indeed very fortunate in having as our Chairman Thiru.M.S.Chockalingam whose remarkable vision, foresight, dedication and unstinted support has made the polytechnic to reach its present pre-eminent position. His interests are not constrained. Many people know him as a great industrialist only. But he has also taken to agriculture, construction etc., with great success. Automobiles, especially the cars too fascinate him very much. layout of laboratories, design and construction of buildings, and the various other steps involved in the starting of the institution.

Admission to the diploma programs is based on the entry qualification of students. The candidates who have passed SSLC or its equivalent exam or ITI (For First Year) and HSC (For Direct Second Year) are eligible to apply
