Joint Entrance Examination or JEE Main 2021 is part of the admission process for all the recognized IITs, NITs and leading engineering colleges in the country. Clearing this exam is necessary to be eligible for the JEE Advanced Exam. It is estimated that more than 12 lakh students appear for JEE Main every year. JEE Main 2021 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an online computer-based test. JEE Main will be conducted in different sessions held across Feb-May to offer more chances to the students to qualify for the exam. However, paper 2 under JEE Main 2021 will be held in a pen-paper mode in two sessions to be held in August and September 2021.


The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test or BITSAT is the entrance exam to secure admission in BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Science) across all three campuses. The institute will conduct this university-level engineering entrance exam in an online mode. The paper is divided into four sections which are Chemistry, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning, Mathematics and Physics. The duration is of 3 hours, and it is estimated that around 2 lakh candidates appear for BITSAT every year, whereas only 2,000 seats are available for admission.

The Manipal Entrance Test (MET) is conducted by the Manipal Academy for Higher Education in the online entrance examination mode for securing admission in this prestigious institute once every year. The examination is 150 minutes long and features objective-type multiple-choice questions. The MET is attempted by over 50,000 applicants every year, and only those students who qualify for this examination are eligible for admission in 16 engineering courses operating under the aegis of this university.

The VIT Engineering Entrance Exam or VITEE is a university level examination where only 5000 engineering seats are available for candidates. This exam is conducted once every year. It is estimated that around 2 lakh students appear for VITEEE every year. This examination is held in an online mode and consists of questions from subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English and Aptitude. The exam has a total of 125 objective-type multiple-choice questions. Candidates are given 150 minutes to answer these questions.

The SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) is held by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology. It is an online-based test and consists of 125 questions. The top 1000 IIT JEE Rank holders, along with the top rank holders of the central and state board of examinations, are provided with direct admission to the university. Over one lakh candidates apply for this entrance examination for only 7,000 seats that are available in the institute.

The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) offers admissions through the COMEDK UGET entrance examination for the engineering courses. The courses herein are offered by the Associations of Engineering, Medical and Dental private colleges in Karnataka. COMEDK UGET’s examination is for 3 hours and is conducted in various examination centres across the country. The paper consists of 180 questions which are in the form of objective-type MCQs. Over 20,000 B. Tech seats are available for securing admissions through this highly competitive entrance exam.

  1. KIITEE 2021

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology conducts the KIITEE entrance exam for the selection of suitable candidates for admission to various engineering courses. This examination features multiple-choice questions that are divided into three sections, i.e., Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, and is held as an online exam. KIITEE is conducted annually for the selection of the candidates who are eligible to secure admissions in their four-year B. Tech program.

  1. SITEEE 2021

Symbiosis Institute of Technology conducts the Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination annually. This examination has a duration of 150 minutes and consists of 100 questions for a total of 200 marks. There are 420 B. Tech seats available in this institute. Candidates who have qualified for the MHT CET and JEE Main are eligible for direct admission to SIT as well. Candidates who qualify for the SITEEE will also be offered admission to the undergraduate engineering courses.

Aligarh Muslim University conducts the AMUEEE, which is a university entrance exam for admission in the B. Tech program of this institute. This entrance examination consists of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with a total of 150 objective-based questions and a duration of 3 hours.
