Date Sheet 2017 for Secondary / Sr. Secondary Examinations April, May 2017

The NIOS senior secondary exams (class 12) for All India level are expected to begin on 7 April, 2017 and the NIOS secondary exams (class 10) will start on 8 April, 2017.

The exact dates will be published here once the NIOS 2017 datesheet for April May 2017 exams is released officially.

Date Sheet 2016 for Secondary / Sr. Secondary Examinations October - November, 2016

The NIOS senior secondary exams (class 12) for All India level began on 27 September, 2016 (Sanskrit) and the NIOS secondary exams (class 10) started on 28 September, 2016 (Sanskrit.)

Class XII exams finished on 4 November, 2016 (Introduction to Law), while class X exams winded up on 21 October, 2016 (Accountancy.)

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) was established in 1989 by Ministry of Human Resource Development; Government of India, to caters to the educational needs of the children out of school, school drop-outs and socially and economical backward section of the learner population.

Today, it is one of the largest Open Schooling systems in the world, with approximately 15,00,000 students on its roll. The institute mission is to reach all by breaking all the physical, mental, economical or geographical or any other obstacles. NIOS is gearing up for making a noteworthy contribution in India’s efforts for Universal Elementary Education by stressing on its foundation courses and linking up with Non-formal Education and Alternative Schooling system operating in the country. The institute uses new technologies for training and teaching purposes mainly to increase access and ensure quality.
