Law Undergraduate Courses

Law is a hot career option for students, today. since it opens up a lot of options for students. Law offers wide range of courses at graduate, post-graduate and doctorate level. The courses offered at the graduation level are

B.A LL.B Program 

BA.LLB is an integrated program in Law. It is an undergraduate degree programme that provides a scholarly education, and therefore jurisdictions that offer the LL.B. require internship or additional education before a graduate is authorized to practice law.

Curriculum
:
 
Law of Contract, History, Economics, Business Law, Law of Torts and Consumer Protection, Corporate Law, Sociology, and IPR are some of the subjects taught during the course.

Duration
:  BA.LLB is a five-year duration program.

Eligibility:
 (i) A candidate for admission to the above program must have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+ 2) or an examination equivalent thereof, securing in aggregate not less than 50% in all the core subjects and English put together.

(ii) He/she must not have completed 20 years of age as on 1st July of the year of admission. In the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST the age limit will be 22 years as on 1st July.

LL.B Program

It is an undergraduate degree programme that aims to impart education in the field of law. The course is intended for graduates.

Curriculum: 
 Law of Contract, Business Law, Law of Torts and Consumer Protection, Corporate Law are some of the subjects taught during the course.

Duration: 3 Years

Eligibility:
 Graduates in any field.

BGL and BAL Program

Bachelor of General Law/Bachelor of Academic Law is an undergraduate distance learning course in the field of law. The course does not entitle you to practice in the court of law. But it does give you the basic knowledge of law.

Curriculum
: Subjects like Jurisprudence, Contracts, Constitutional Law, Labour Law and Law of Evidence with Drafting and Conveyancing are taught in this course.

Duration: The distance learning course is offered as a 2 or a 3 year course, depending on university you apply to.

Eligibility: Graduation in any stream
