What after CAT 2017? Admission Process for B-Schools
Clearing the MBA entrance exam, the Common Admission Test (CAT 2017) is only the first step towards getting admission to the prestigious IIMs or other top MBA colleges. You have to go through several other steps before you can secure yourself a seat to the post graduate management programs offered by IIMs and renowned B-schools.

Performance in CAT 2017 exam is an important component in the admission process. IIMs may use previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience, and other similar inputs in shortlisting and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process. CAT 2017 Result and Short-listing
CAT 2017 results are expected in the second week of January 2018 and can be accessed on www.examresults.net/management/cat/
A list of shortlisted candidates for the next level of selection will be made available on the individual IIM websites. Each IIM will send interview letters to the candidates it has short-listed. The criteria for short-listing varies for every IIM.
