JEMAT Exam 2018 - Eligibility, Question Papers, Application Form, Result

The Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) is an entrance examination conducted by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) (previously known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) for admission to various post graduate management programs like MBA conducted by various management institutes under West Bengal University of Technology.

A large number of candidates from West Bengal appear for JEMAT to get admission in the best management institutes in West Bengal.

There are about 35 management institutes in West Bengal in which admission is through JEMAT. Candidates have to first appear for a written test. Those candidates who clear the written test are called for Personal Interview and General Discussion after which the final selections are done.

JEMAT 2018 dates have not been released yet, but as per last year's date, it can be expected to be conducted in the last week of July, 2018.

  • Starting date for online application submission: 1 July, 2018
  • Last date for application form submission: 14 July, 2018
  • Last date to receive hard copy of offline application at MAKAUT office:18 July, 2018
  • Download admit cards online from: 20 July, 2018 onward
  • Result of the Written Test: 29 July, 2018

JEMAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The minimum qualification for admission to MBA / MMA programs is a Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) in Arts / Science / Commerce / Engineering / Technology / Medical / Dental / Agriculture or other professional courses from recognized Universities.

The candidates who will appear in final examination (Graduation) to be held by June 2018 & results published by September 2018 may also apply.

  • You can apply online for JMET at www.wbut.ac.in
  • You can also apply offline for JMAT 2018 by downloading the online application form from www.wbut.ac.in, filling it and submitting at the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) office.

JEMAT application fee

Make a demand draft (DD) [in favour of WBUT-JEMAT payable at Kolkata] of Rs.600 (general candidates) or Rs.300 (SC/ ST/ OBC candidates)

JEMAT 2018 Exam Pattern

The JEMAT 2018 written test will be of objective type consisting of three sections of 2 hours duration ( 11 a.m. to 1 p.m ) as detailed below:

  • Section I English-40 Marks
  • Section II Mathematics-40 Marks
  • Section III Logical Reasoning-20 Marks
