AICTE to revamp syllabus for technical courses to increase employability

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, is planning to revamp its current syllabus of technical courses in order to increase the employability. The new syllabus is expected to be highly technical and job oriented and it will be implemented across all AICTE approved engineering colleges from 1 July, 2017.

The announcement was made by Dr MP Poonia, vice chairman, AICTE during a meeting with the delegates of All India Federation of Self Financing Colleges Association (AIFSFTI). He also added that the syllabus will be industry linked and every student have to spend at least 2 months in each industry, for this AICTE is tying up with CII and Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
