IBPS clerk (CWE CLERKS-VII) 2017 recruitment notification released
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) issued the official notification for the recruitment to clerical posts (CWE CLERKS-VII) in the participating banks on Wednesday, 6th September.There are more than 7,880 vacant posts and the exam will be held in two phases: preliminary and main. Those who clear the preliminary examination will be eligible to appear in the main. Those who pass the main exam will be provisionally allotted to one of the participating banks.
Important Dates
The online registration process begins on September 12, and will continue till October 3, 2017. The preliminary examination will be held on December 2, 3, 9 and 10. The results of the preliminary examination will be declared in December. The main examination will be held on January 21, 2018. The provisional allotment will take place in April 2018.
Exam pattern
The preliminary examination will be of one-hour duration. There will be three sections carrying 1 mark for each questions, in total there will be 100 questions. One needs to qualify in each of the three sections by securing the cut-off marks set by the IBPS.
The main examination will have four sections carrying a total of 200 marks for 190 questions, and candidates will get 2 hours and 40 minutes to solve them.
0.25 of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer. There is no penalty for leaving questions unanswered.
