CBSE introduces Udaan for girl students
In order to prepare girls for admission to premier engineering institutions of India, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is helping young female students to excel in engineering as a career to contribute in economic growth of India. The initiative named "Udaan" is open for application. All the interested candidates are requested to apply though prescribed format latest by July 31. Applications will be accepted via post and email.

Eligibility Criteria
- All the female candidates studying in class 11 with Physics, Chemistry and Math as subjects are eligible to apply.
- Students from KVs, NVs, or government schools of any recognized board or CBSE affiliated private schools with minimum 70% marks in class 10 and 80% marks in Science and Maths or minimum CGPA of 8 and GPA of 9 in Science and Mathematics are eligible to apply
- Annual income of applicant must not be more than INR 6 Lakhs
- OBC, SC, ST and PWD candidates will get special privilege.

Students will be assisted with free tutorials, mentoring support, lectures and study material to prepare for engineering entrance examination. Virtual contact classes will be organised in 60 cities. There will be helpline services for doubt clarification and regular monitoring of students will also be carried out.
