Digi scoring to be used in UGC NET 2017 exam on January 22
CBSE declared on Friday, 14 January, 2017 that the answer sheets for the UGC NET exam that will be held on January 22 will be evaluated using "Digi-Scoring". CBSE Chairman R K Chaturvedi has announced the new initiative where digital scoring of OMR sheets will be done for the UGC NET exam.

The first time, this technique was used was during the recruitment exam for Principals and Assistants Commissioners of Navodaya Vidyalaya Sangathan in December, 2016. Digital scoring involves scanning and storing of the OMR sheets on the central server. This helps to keep safe all the data of each examinee in a temper proof format. The technique have been time and cost saving and at the same time it has provided transparent and accurate results so far. Keeping this in mind, the Board has decided to conducted the forthcoming UGC NET exam on January 22, 2017 in the same manner
