GATE 2017: Results declared today, March 27, 2017
The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, has declared the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 exam result today, i.e. Monday, 27 March, 2017 on its official website.
GATE 2017 was conducted on 4, 5, 11 and 12 February, 2017.
All the GATE 2017 candidates can check their result by entering their Enrollment ID. The scorecard of the successful candidates will be available on the official website shortly. It (scorecard) can be downloaded only until 5 May, 2017.

GATE is conducted by either Indian Institute of Science or IITs on a rotational basis each year. This year, GATE 2017 was conducted by IIT Roorkee. The scores will be used for M.Tech/PhD admission into IISc and IITs and some other institutes as well.
On the job front many public sector undertakings (PSUs) have invited applications for jobs using GATE 2017 score. The companies that have invited such applications are Indian Oil Corporation Limited, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Power Grid Corporation, BSNL, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), RITES, HPCL, BHEL, MDL, GAIL, NBCC and many more.
The Cabinet Secretariat has also made a decision to recruit officers for the posts of Senior Field Officer (Tele), Senior Research Officer (Crypto), Senior Research Officer (S&T) in the Telecommunication Cadre, Cryptographic Cadre and Science & Technology Unit respectively of Cabinet Secretariat.
GATE scores are valid for a period of 3 years.
